My mate got the figure off his scanner in the truck , he said by the time the engineers came down he had the 200 ton on ,and they both thought each other had dialled it in it's not unusual to wait for 30 mins or longer for them to come and dial the figure in . You were in good hands ......28 years in the job ,and a private pilot ......flys a Bonanza in his spare time . Loves his aeroplanes , unlike some of our blokes who wouldn't even know they were under an A380 !!! it's a bit embarrassing at times !!

You sit in the truck or up the cherry picker?

just make sure you get a guy who knows it's an A380 not allowed to sit in the truck while pumping and nothing to drive in the wing of a 380 all behind the body gear . That's why we loved the 747 , just me in the deck and the fuel panel throwing switches . and Ah .......no smoking allowed

You don't stay up there after you connex the fuel lines to the wing?
The belly panel must be a Godsend...we can set the panel from up on the flight deck, but REALLY need a hose connex to the wing for it to be successful.

Back down on the ground Salty . The 380 s are good to fuel ,pretty quick right up till the end .....they only slow down when the trim tank is being topped off . The belly panel is good , the hoses do need to be connected ......there is a green light in the wing fuel panels to indicate that it is on cockpit refuel , and that massive wing is fantastic when it's pissing down rain .
