The only problem with TVL (and Darwin, Tindal etc), was sitting at the holding point in the big 707, waiting for departure clearance, with no aircon packs running and 50 degrees inside the cabin :? .

That was so so cool Ray! How about those Hornets eating Eagles and pulling up to 28 deg Alpha! Hornets are deadly at low speed and high alpha. Guess what's better doing this - F-35 with 50 deg alpha! Just don't go there Suki boys! Talking of which, anyone see the F-35 demo at Paris - it's pretty sensational given this is still the 3i software limiting it to 7G. It does a "P-loop" (some call this the "Mongo") and then does a wicked pedal turn - this is something no non-thrust vectoring fighter can do. Hornet has been incredible for the RAAF - time to move over "Classics", there's a new sheriff in town! :D

Look for the "Mongo" and pedal turn.

'cause however great the Hornet is, the F-35 is better in every respect. Our nations' knuckleheads are gonna love it! :D Did you secretly have a peek at the Paris demo? 8-)
