A friend at work has asked me to build his young son a Airbus A380 in a QANTAS scheme. I've said ok. He's bought the kit (it's in transit) but it only comes with the A380 decals. What are my options for QANTAS schemes & where should I be looking.

Hawkeye has a sheet. This one has all A380s in the fleet

TwoSix in the UK also have a sheet. It only gives you markings for OQA, B and C

Hi Troy,
As far as I am aware, you have three decal options if you are wanting to make a Qantas 1:144th A380
Option 1
Hawkeye Sheet CDS-111
This sheet presents a representation of the Qantas A380 as it would have appeared in the pre-2007 corporate colours. Please note that the Qantas A380 never actually carried this scheme as, by the time the first aircraft was delivered, the change-over to the current scheme had occurred. It would none-the-less make an interesting model though, as these are the colours that were depicted in much of the promotional material when the A380 order was announced, and leading up to delivery.

Hawkeye may have an up-dated A380 sheet coming.....Scotty????
Option 2
TwoSix Decals Sheet STS4475
If an updated Hawkeye sheet is not yet available, then this is the sheet to grab if you want to represent the model you are building in the current QF colours, (and as the aircraft were delivered) .

Option 3
TB Decals Sheet TBD76

This sheet was/is freely available on eBay, and is designed as a supplemental sheet to be used in conjunction with the existing kit-supplied decals. Note however that you only get one rego, (VH-OQB), and the "Airbus A380" titles are the wrong font style and colour. Also, one of the Aussie flags is incorrect, (the Union Jack should always be at the leading edge of flight).
Hope that helps.

The Hawkeye sheet is now updated, I have a copy with the current livery on it. I used the Roos from that sheet form my B747-8f :D

The 'Generic' decal you have Ray is from TB Decals

Ray/Scotty....has the revised Hawkeye sheet got a new number???, if so, what would that be??
For the sake of completeness would it be possible to add a picture of the current Hawkeye QF A380 sheet to this thread.
Yeah, I would leave that TB sheet alone....it screams "pirate", has errors, and is certainly not a Qantas-Licenced product, (unlike Hawkeye which has a License for all Qantas Group brands and subjects).
Thanks for that info on TB decals Ray....have amended above accordingly.
