Hey peeps. On Facebook today I spied a pic of a TAA Grumman Mallard and then the brain started to tick over (and that is NEVER a good thing let me tell you

). This is it

Apparently there's only 1 kit of this plane and it's by Execuform which is vacform. I found 1 in the states but I can't justify USD$90 for a 1/72 kit at the moment. This will be a long term project I reckon so that I can get a lot better at building before tackling such a kit. Also cos I've never built a vacform before might have something to do with it

Good find Paul, didn't know of this at all
Back in the '80's when the floating Hotel was on the Reef, there were a pair of these operating out of Townsville, one PT6 powered, the other was the radial, they got rid of the PT6 one when they found out the cost of doing a double HSI, and had the radial one for about 5 years

You could always try scratch-building one; here's a start:

Thanks Micheal. That's the one I was eyeing off. But once you add postage it works out close enough to USD$90

As for scratch building one, yeah nah that's never gonna happen LOL
