Hi mate,
A little while ago on AMI you gave me some good guts info on what variant of Spitty I would need to build the beautiful, red, civvie "G-FIRE". Sorry to be a pain but could you brief me on those details again.
Thanks mate
Ray

hi man. All good mate. You'll need a low back Mk XIVe (not the XIVc high back) Spitfire to do the job. I'm not sure what's around in 1/72 but in 1/48 the Academy kit is probably the best
http://www.hlj.com/product/acd2161/Air Apparently this kit has a few issues shape wise with the nose and prop. The prop is easily fixed with a Barracuda resin replacement. The nose is a little more difficult. Ron's Resin did an update set for this kit which fixed all the problems including the nose. Though I'm not sure how hard it is to find. I was lucky enough to pick a couple up off of a nice bloke on AMI ages ago. Red Pegasus is the place to get the decals
