Heads up for some planned site works

Postby tor lives » Sat Mar 14, 2015 12:10 pm

Hi all,
Just a bit of a "heads up" that there will be some ACAM site works being undertaken by the site host on the 19 March 2015.
This my cause some interruption to normal site functions during the maintenance period, (although given how quiet the site is of late :( .....I don't think it will make any difference).
Once this maintenance work has been completed, I will be working with the site host/manager to make some other site changes, including removing any references to the $25.00 ACAM fee, (as suggested by Paul.....thanks mate), as this is clearly having an impact on potential membership numbers.

No new features....just ensuring site stability and reliability. And, when I get a chance, some site "clean-up", including getting rid of some of the forums that are clearly not popular or used.
Might also look at introducing an ACAM facebook page.

Yeah I think the action is moving away from Forums.

Yeah..... I think you may be right Tony.
I might take you up on your earlier offer to assist with an ACAM Facebook page.
I will be in touch.

Hey Raptor,
How are ya mate.
I would only be too happy to have Tony, Paul, and your good self set-up and manage an ACAM Facebook page.
I agree with both Tony and Troy in that forums seem to be taking a bit of a back seat to things like Facebook, but, at the same time, there will always be a place for forums such as ours here, (which is why I spent the big bucks on setting this one up :D )

that would be quite sad really.. this dinosaur has no time for facebook.. I find its format unsuited to the stuff that happens on these fora, I loathe the way advertisements are foisted upon one and there is so little "relevant" space on the page for what you actually might be interested in.

One of the most counterproductive innovations to human evolution I reckon
