The final parts of the puzzle have fallen into place with the arrival of the new BraZ Models upgrade parts from Hannants to make a Boeing 787-9. Now I have everything needed to get on with the project, I'm clearing the modelling decks and getting on with it. Progress reports may follow.

Nice Leigh.
Those Oldmodels decals look a lot better than the 1900D ones.

I got my Qantas 787-9 ready to go.

My conversion set is the Hamilton Hobbies one....also got the SAC undercarriage set. I have not seen one of these completed yet so it will be interesting to see how it all goes together. I gave Stu one of the Hamilton Hobbies conversion sets also but I am not sure if he has had a chance to tackle his yet.

PS: I would also love to do an Ansett 787 Wif sometime. If Ansett were still around, (and I am hoping they will be back one day....just look at the re-emergence of Braniff and Eastern in the USA :D ), I am sure they would have been an early operator of the 787, just as they were with the 767.

G'day Scoops,
That is a very impressive line-up of 787s, (and something I am sure the Boeing sales team would LOVE to see :D ).
The Ansett 787 looks particularly nice.....as I knew it would.
Thanks for posting.

Hey Leigh,

Just had a other look at you picture and noticed the other Braz set, Are they replacement engines? I thought the kit engines were OK?

You're right Ray, they are new engines. So far as I can tell there is no problems with the kit engines - unless you are me and make a total mess of putting together the kit engines, confused because there is no hot section. Don't ask! The replacement engines are pretty good though and if money was no objective I think the replacements are preferable. For one thing, the fan blades are a bit more robuse than the kit ones which seem to bend when you breath on them.

By the way. The model is making progress. The fuselage extensions were a problem but that's mainly my faulty. I'll be ready to talk about it after I'm out of therapy. The engines are in the paint booth almost ready to be stuck under the wings.
