Hi all,
I know it's a ways off, but the more notice the better.
The theme for A/CAMs Model Expo 2016 display will be: The Wonderful World of Air Racing
This will be a display celebrating and featuring Air Racing from all eras and in all scales and mediums.
The reason for such advance notice is that some of us will be need this time to get our display contributions ready.
So....once you have finished getting your 2015 Airliners / Civil Aircraft: TV and Movie Stars display items ready you can jump straight in and make a start on your 2016 contributions. Nothing like being organised :D

Absolutely!!!!!
Given that four or five of us have Air Racer WIFs on the go at the moment I think I would have a riot on my hands if WIFs weren't allowed. Paul"s (HRT) outstanding orange racing Spitty and Paul's (RB) beautiful "Black Magic 2" come immediately to mind here, and I hope both these lovely models feature in our 2016 display.

I was looking at The Rocketeer a couple of nights back. There were two or three racers in it, the Gee Bee and the Mystery Ship that I recognized. One could meet the themes for two years in a row with only one model.

Just doing some more planning so ACAMers can have max time to prepare for our upcoming Model Expo displays.
The theme for our 2017 display will be
"Ansett: Tribute to one of the world's great Airlines"
and the theme for 2018 will be "From swords to ploughshares: Military aircraft in civil use"
In summary then our ACAM Model Expo display programme looks like this:

2015 Airliners / Civil Aircraft: TV and Movie Stars
2016 The Wonderful World of Air Racing
2017 Ansett: Tribute to One of the World's Great Airlines
2018 From Swords to Ploughshares: Military Aircraft in Civil Use

So lock that into your diaries and build schedules.
You can't say I don't give ya a heap of notice :D

"Ploughshares" even

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.—Isaiah 2:3–4

Fat chance ehhh but a good theme.
