HELL NO !!!

Disney have lawyers scouting the internet for any unlicensed stuff.

Don't want Peter M getting a nasty "Cease & Desist", and couldn't afford whatever licensing they would charge anyway.

You simply approach VA for permission.

Doesn't work like that.

VA have Disney's permission to use it on their planes. That's it!

Intellectual Property rights are not grandfathered to third parties unless they are specifically included in the original license agreement.

And to be pedantic, I should in-fact have both VA's and Disney's permission to copy that particular plane.

I can do the standard and retro liveries, but aint gonna touch the Disney-Pixar one, sorry!

Fortunately, most airlines leave hobby decal producers alone because we are small fish in a niche market and aren't worth the effort pursuing.

FWIW, Peter M does pay a license for all the Qantas related stuff he sells.

Scotty mate, I do understand "how it works" bud.
You may not know it, but I used to work for Qantas Licensing.
Who do you think originally gave Hawkeye (before Pete owned it) Qantas brand/trade mark use licensing permission :D .

Didn't know, or I had forgotten - one of those.

Still, Disney are fiercely protective of their IP imagery, so I'm steering clear.

American Airlines were another one, although they seem to have relaxed somewhat seeing as multiple decal makers have done stuff since the livery change.
