Here is a link to a crowd-funding proposal for a Boeing 737-100 in 1/72.
http://s15.zetaboards.com/72nd_Aircraft ... 463/1/#new
The idea is to 3D print it with all the advantages and disadvantages of that technology.
If you buy in at the funding stage you end up with a model, assuming it goes ahead. It is possible to purchase one after the development process but it will cost rather more.
Another advantage of being part of the process is that you can have design input and feel for yourself the post release angst at why it is unbuildable.
The 737 is a bit large for me but I am participating in an earlier proposal.

Sounds very cheap! But a -100? Be as about as popular as the Aurora/Monogram kit I reckon!

The old Aurora/Monogram 737-100 is not a bad kit for what it is......especially with the Contrails AM JT8 engines.

Well, I forked out $US30.

I will be interested to see how this kit turns out. The full allocation of crowdfunded slots is taken up so it should get a guernsey now.

If it works and you get a semi-decent kit for 30-odd dollars, that's a win. There's a bit more discussion on Britmodeller about why it can't be done.
I think the critics don't see that it's a proof-of-concept trial and not a money making exercise.

I have been following the chatter, the 72Scale forum has CAD images of their YAK 9, looks like there is more interest in that kit.

If the 737 eventuates then I will have to get Pete M to make up some decals for it :D

I think the Yak (to which I subscribed) was sold out a few weeks ago and the development started right away, hence more chat. The 737 is only just sold out so it should be a few weeks before development starts.
These 'development' prices are pretty low and I would expect to see a 1/72 737 for about $200 - 300 based on a 1/144 3D printed twin being $50...........

I THINK it will include some, the thread on Britmodeler Rumourmonger said possible multiple marking options anyway.

And there are these (scroll down) - https://www.oldmodelsdecals.com/B737-A320-BAe146.html

OMD0100 Ansett NZ B737-100-200 1/72
DIGITAL. Ansett New Zealand -100s and -200s - 1/72

I am making some myself (laser), just need to be sized and printed after receipt of kit - https://ibb.co/kSkypo

I believe it will include some sort of decals but I think they will have a US-centric theme.

When the time comes I will look around at schemes and decide on something I like.

That is a nice scheme you are working on Jamie.
