Postby tor lives » Thu Jun 15, 2017 12:50 pm

As this issue is currently being discussed on other threads, please allow me to formally post an updated A/CAM Model Expo Display Programme so that there is no confusion moving forward:

2018- From Swords to Ploughshares: Military Aircraft in Civil Use
2019- Trash Hauling: Tribute to Civil Freighter Aircraft
2020- Angels of Mercy: Civil Emergency Services Aircraft
2021- The Wings of NASA/NACA
2022- McDonnell Douglas in Australia
2023- The Lighties: Tribute to General Aviation

2024- The Elite: Corporate Jets

You know what would be good to have around this display don't you?

Yes that's right MDD presented at collection of Paintings as a Bicentennial Gift to Australia in 1988 some of which featured it's predecessor's products in Australia. I've got a framed (made out of FNQ Rain Forest Hardwood) print of a Bushy's DC-3 over Andoom (Weipa) that you are welcome to either borrow (or copy if you'd rather do that) and display. Has anyone else got a print of any in the series? I think the most popular one was the Ansett ANA and TAA DC-9s on the tarmac when they arrived. Somewhere I'll have small jpegs of most of them. Must try to dig then up between now and 2022.

I am assuming the zombie apocalypse would have happened by then, (although having attended this year's swap and sell...looks like it has already happened  )

I will be hopefully be building a few that will be equally eligible for either next year's A/CAM display or the Civil category. The decider as to which ones will go where will ultimately come down to the quality of each individual build.
