Model Expo 2017: A/CAM Luncheon

Postby tor lives » Wed May 03, 2017 12:05 pm

Hi guys,
Just a "heads up" in relation to our annual A/CAM luncheon at Model Expo this year.....we will still have one but, due to budgetary constraints, there will be NO free lunch vouchers this year. This year's allocated A/CAM funds for Model Expo are being used exclusively for category sponsorship and club display purposes. Sorry lads, but there is only so much money to go around.

Yeah Ray, we will do it on the Saturday.....I will arrange for a reserved and exclusive A/CAM table as usual.
Thanks for the offer of lunch mate, but my belt is getting a wee bit tight these days :? , so this year I might pass up the usual gourmet delights of the Model Expo venue.

If only Model Expo would open the bar. Having a good buzz might take the edge off the show, actually, I am reliably informed that it does indeed do so...lol

The Sandown hotel is only up the road. They do a lovely lunch and serve booze too. Either way, count me in for lunch on Saturday. I'll buy you a drink, Ray.

Sandown management decision - not up to us.

Great catching up with everyone this weekend. Congrats to all who won and participated. Nice work Ray, Damo, Adam, Knotty, Paul and anyone I missed on the great little racer display. It was most impressive and inspirational.

Congratulations all an an excellent display. It was good to catch up with some of you too during the day.
And if the maker of the Sikorsky S.40 is among us, I apologize for drooling all over your model (metaphorically), to me it was the best model in the show, particularly having made the S.42 which was difficult. I have that S.40 kit as well and I've been putting it off. I was seriously impressed. And rigging in 1/144. Judges, they must issue them with blindfolds, that's all I can say.
