BAC 1-11 question

Postby erussell » Sun Nov 20, 2016 6:38 pm

There are a variety of BAC One-Eleven kits around and they are all either very difficult to find, very expensive, of poor quality and require conversion for the slightly non-standard RAAF BAC 1-11 series 200 (217EA). If you could have a choice of a modern injection moulded one suitable for RAAF version, would you prefer 1/72 or 1/144? Bear in mind a 1/72 one is likely to be three or even more times the cost of a 1/144 kit.

1/144 for me. To go nicely alongside things like 727s in the same scale.

1/72, to go with the rest of my 1/72 RAAF planes.
