Thinking of having a go at modelling this ...

Postby Ansett A330 » Fri Aug 05, 2016 3:54 pm

having a read of one of my favourite books I came across small plans of this so enlarged them to 1:144 to see what it looked like and think I may have a go at modelling it :

Any guesses as to what it is and what book it came from? (And no Graeme you can't answer because you already know!)

It looks to me a little like the proposed BAC 1-11 800 or the similar-in-appearance BAC 3-11.

I will reserve judgement until more info comes to light as your drawings are somewhat "rudimentary".
That tail unit, (and those wing tips for that matter), looks more McDonnell Douglas than BAC.

Eddie : "Your stab is accurate. BAC 3-11 it is."

Eddie : "Now for the next Question - What Book is it from?"

(BTW where did you find the BEA image and your Plans?)

Oh, probably that one that has all those pages between the covers and stuff... :?

I suspected it was a HS/BAC design, so just searched Google images. :D
