Of course....... my Challenge Build 737-200 is a WIF, so no reason why we can’t have WIFs in the HS-125 Challenge Build. Although it will be up to the Model Expo committee to decide what category they go in.

I reckon if I ever attempted anything like this one I'd look into fitting Buccaneer outer wings to the HS125 wing roots and bolting on a pair of Speys not just for commonality with other aircraft onboard but also to make it a combination of good low speed handling from the blown wing to land on a Carrier (and not to mention the ability to fold the wings) and a bit of a rocket ship going from 2 x 3750 lbs thrust to 2 x 11100 lbs thrust! (Maybe a bit of an overkill to get off the deck and also out of trouble but hey it's a Whiff!) Really like the raised nose oleo - I'm guessing it came from a Phantom? Can't see the Tail Hook on it but I'm guessing it would have one. The funny thing is this Naval one looks to have a fully rotating dome whereas the other one appears to have a "tear drop" (a la Tracer - now just where is that Falcon Conversion?) which you might think would be the other way around for below deck clearance.

Speaking of Tracer who knows what a COD version of this would look like and even an ASW version a la Tracer, Trader, Tracker?

Hmmm... my preferences in this order:

HS 125

I put the HS 125 last because mine is destined to be military so it would be w/ Paul's over on the military table. That said, I just bought one recently in fact and would totally love to build it. I just scored it low because it won't be civil. I'll have to find some transfers for it but that's all part of the fun sometimes, the thrill of the hunt...

The appeal of the DC-8 to me... is that it is just so cool.. I mean.. OLD SCHOOL COOL how can you not look at a DC-8 and not think it' s one of the coolest airliners. Add to that the fact that the Minicraft kit is supposed to be one of the best around, just in modelling in general even, so it makes building it easier. Lord knows, I don't want no sky-turd on my hands and having to deal with a paint in the ass build.
