I've looked up some photos of VH-CAO, the DCA HS-125, and it looks as though it would be fairly simple to do. Am I correct in remembering that somebody in this group was working on some decals for it but put them aside as being too complex? If so, I will be interested in looking as what got done along those lines. I see also that the Welsh Models 1/144 HS-125 early version I have has Qantas decals. I also have some nice Model Alliance decals for a late model RAF HS-125. But TOR has to count up the votes and I have to get this NAC 737-200 done first. (By the way, I have a very fond spot for VH-CAO as it's the first aeroplane I flew in - working for DCA at the time.)

Yes Leigh, Wally was doing one, not sure if he finished it. he was having issues getting some of the decals to form around complex curves on the engines and fuselage as I recall.

Ray, correct me if I am wrong, the minute you slap military markings on the 125 it would not be eligible for the civil category?

OK, so just to clarify.....
If we do decide on the 1:72 HS-125 as the subject matter-of-choice for the next A/CAM Challenge Build, (which looks to be the case at the moment), then the Model Expo category that the individual model goes into will be entirely dependent on the colour scheme it wears, (for example, if Paul builds and Argentine Navy HS-125 then it can't, by category definition, go into the non-military category).
If however we decide on the 1:144 707, (or indeed even the VC10 or DC-8), then the individual model will qualify for the Airliner category regardless of what scheme it wears, as the Airliner category uniquely lends itself to both civil and military subjects.
