I also bought the Airfix P-51D in 1/72, just cos it was like 10 bucks.

Is that the scale plastic modeller's equivalent of a quick meth hit? "Man, I need some styrene BAD!". :D

Ha, something like that. Was from the museum, gotta buy something to support the place! Well, that's how I justify it anyway. :) I nearly bought the Pearl Harbor set too; P-40, Zero and Kate, but I've already got the Zero and P-40, although alone the kate is like 40 bucks, but only 52 for the 3 kit set....figure that one out.

Maybe, mostly the panel lines were an issue, especially in the Spitfire and the early new mold kits. They just weren't as good as Hasegawa of the 90's and still aren't really, but they are getting better and for 10 bucks I can tolerate slightly deeper panel lines. Mind you, Hasegawa had some foul ups, their 1/72 Heinkel 111H looked like someone had gotten a plow to the panel lines.

Been a bit quiet lately but that hasn't stopped the purchasing. I can't remember in which order these were obtained but ya get that.

From our mates at Red Roo

I bought this after watching a doco on the Pedro PAVEHAWK's in Afghanistan

Then this came up at a great price that's even closer to the aircraft I wanna do

And lets not forget the rather big number of Hotwheels cars that have come home with me.

I got these 4 at the last swap and sell

Another Airnorth DC-3 VH-MMA

First F-4 in a while

Stoked to pick this up for $15

This is gonna be an Air Affairs jet that'll be red air for the RAAF

I scored a decal sheet from Xtradecal of Jet Provosts so I needed a couple of kits

It looks ok in the box with finer panel lines than the High Planes kit but I do hear the HPM kit is nicer to put together. Mine will be the ex RAAF Paki machine with grey fuse and SAAF camo wings. I'll be getting their RAAF Mirage from Red Roo when it arrives. Even if the kit is crap, it's worth the price alone for the decals IMHO.
