Nice. Very nice. (drools over keyboard)

Always wanted to find one of these in recent times as I had built the "Mission Capistrano" as a kid and at the time thought that the BP Tanker was the same tooling so didn't get one (having to make the usual Military v Civil choice) but according to Scalemates they are different kits :

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/786868- ... -sovereign

The other Tanker to get is the Heller La Seine / La Saone but never saw an original issue one but have seen it reissued as one of three kits in the "Task Force" boxing which is usually pretty expensive.

Actually finished my He-162 c/w BMW-003 engine for 2019 Expo. Whilst I thought I had a chance getting it finished for 2018, I was WAY wrong.

I stuffed up the leading edge slats of my 1/32 Me-262 by trying to be too clever thinning them down and using Tamiya putty to give them a more aerodynamic shape on the underside which ended up warping them - ARGH! I tried using plastic card to reverse this and stiffen them up, but I was not happy with this as it closed the very apparent gap between the open slats and the wing - POOPY PLOP CHUNKS! Anyhoo, I've bought via the miracle that is Ebay a replacement sprue set for this, so off with the stuffed up slats soon and on with the new without fart-arsing around with them this time! So, 262 WILL be finished for Expo 2019!

I have a 1/32 Pitts S-2S "Bulldog" to finish (20% done) plus a 1/32 F-104N just fractionally started - no promises on either of these being ready though.

I've got my airliner almost done, just need something civil and was thinking of doing the civilian registered Whirlwind. It was painted overall either gloss extra dark or dark sea grey with white registration.

I've got a 1/72 kit of the Whirlwind with civvy rego...IIRC it was a dark green. I'll check when I get home..

Edit: G-AGOI is Gloss Extra Dark Sea Grey, Gunze H333. The one I was thinking of was the second prototype..
Pretending to do it TAC style with the big boys since 1987
Also, we don't need no steenkin' VLATs!

Hope to get a civil entry this year, perhaps a King Air and Falcon 50.

I will have the 737 challenge build and perhaps something else for the Airliners category.

Finally a few shelf of doomers to finish up for the Trash Haulers ACAM display table.

I'd also like to slip an RAF A400M in there as well somewhere.
