No....the idea is and always was for the NASA/NACA Group Build to generate models for the Non-Military Category, (thus the timing of it's end date).
The club display is a separate issue but, by default, may also benefit from the NASA/NACA Group Build if the builder chooses not to enter the Non-Military competition Category but still wants to display their model.
I am not sure why this is so confusing .

PS: I would prefer top keep A/CAM Group Builds distinctly separate from Model Expo Club Display themes, (after all, at this point, we only have two GBs)

SPASM did a similar theme a few years ago. I have 17 models that I can contribute, e.g , Boomerang used in film SMITHY, Wirraway VH_SSF trial aircraft for Ceres, Anson, Ryan STM, etc. A good colourful choice of theme.

You know Ray, I know of other forums that nominate a 'club table' theme for say Telford and folks on the forum nominate and then create a build thread on the forum for that kit and build away to the display deadline.

I don't think it is too much a silly idea to follow suit. Maybe host the threads in the GB forum and label the threads as an Expo build

For example

EDT 2018: 1/72 Boeing E-8C JSTARS (ex B707-338 VH-EBU).

*EDT - Expo Display Table

Boy, I had forgotten about that build, thinks I will get it finished now for the display :-)

So what's happening now? Explain it to me in simple words, Ray.

Guys,
This is needlessly getting waaaaaaaaay to complex. This NASA Group Build/Display thing is not f@#king rocket science, (see what I did there :D ).
See my explanations above .
Now all of you, get back to ya bloody model desks and start building friggen models, or we will spend all this time talking about this crap, and then not have anything built AGAIN!!!! :D .

Well if i didn't have to give individual explanations to people such as you Troy, I might actually have time to build a model :D

Yeah, yeah yeah... heard this one before... says the pot calling the kettle black :D work always seems to get in the bloody way of building time lately

I should really get back to it myself. Got one at least for the NASA GB. 1/48 T-38.

I think I balls that up, the E-8 would not be suitable as it is the other way around, ex-airliner now in military markings....
