OK OK OK - After this post and the harassment phone call this morning by YOU, I have succumbed to your "logic" and am publically acknowledging and conceding that I will now purchase the SWS A-1J Spad - AAARRRRGGGHHHHHHH! How can I argue against such logic as - the only thing better than a 1/48 Spad is a 1/32 one! Ah, the mind and body is PISS-WEAK!

My fault entirely mentioning just how "strong" I was resisting that 1/32 A-1J until now - red rag to a bull huh. Complete and utter folly on my behalf. It was the scale modelling world equivalent to Kim Jong-un saying "Up yours" to USA and then giving his address for the next 24 hours! Run little Kim run! :D

Alrighty then - where is that credit card again that could spontaneously explode at any minute?

Think I might have to do one of these stash sell offs - AARRRGGHHHHHHH! :D

My job here is done
All I have to say is GOOD CALL on your well-considered decision to get yourself an absolutely necessary 1:32 A-1, and without any coercing or pressure what so ever 8-)
You will not regret it.....and now the F-105 will have an appropriate stable mate in the same scale.

Just received my Trojan - first quick look has generated a "WOW" effect from my mouth. It will be some time before I check out the whole fit side of things and amass all the "bling" that is sure to follow soon enough. It is lacking a gunsight plus the "Yankee" seats I've read. I bet wheels and gear plus decals will follow soon enough.

I want to build a beast like this Raven bird (from the secret war in Laos).

Thanks Kev!

That's a great review and I agree with what is said having inspected mine. My build will be some time off. I will most likely build it in parallel with my Bronco build. I will wait for some AM bits to appear in the meantime - the gun sight and the Yankee seats are the most pressing needs for this kit. It is without a doubt the best T-28 in any scale and I am looking forward to tackling this kit in the future!

Cheers

I think Harold from AMS might be planning some of the upgrades you require, mate, so you should have your prayers answered at some point:

Well, I think it is overdue for that white van with padded insides to visit may address! Had a bit of a splurge and purchased a 1/32 F-8E Crusader (this has been on the cards for some time with all the AM already purchased) plus a Tamiya 1/32 F-4J to be finished as Cdr Harley Hall's Blue Angels No.1 bird. My fav LAME is going to have a field day over this I'm sure! Fact be known is I am actually a little bit of a fan of the F-4, even though I believe it is inferior to both the F-8 and F-105 in their respective roles. Anyway, I just feel compelled to build Hall's Blue Angels bird as he is such a legend. After his tour with the BAs, he went back to the fleet and was the last USN pilot shot down over Vietnam. Apparently he was seen to walk around on the ground prior to be captured and killed (possibly a few years later). There is major controversy to this day as to just how long he spent in captivity in Vietnam. Sadly for many, the Vietnam War continued for many years after the US withdrew.

For anyone interested, here is his story. Hall was a exceptional military pilot and commander. Anyone remotely interested in military aviation and formation aerobatics should watch "Threshold - the Blue Angels experience" to witness just what can be achieved by humans and very high performance machines.
