I'd have to look up the history of it again, but there were at least two aircraft painted in Ansett colours and wearing British rego..

Ansett originally ordered 3 Skyvans (they reserved regos VH-EJR, -EJS & -EJT for them) but when G-ASCO and G-AVJX were completed they were not taken up because of issues with the Turbomeca Astazou engines, so the order was cancelled. Those aircraft served as demonstrators instead.

You will need to re-engine the Airfix kit if you want to model those, as the kit is a series 3 aircraft with Garret turboprops.

When the series 3 aircraft became available, Ansett accepted 2 for Papuan operations, VH-PNI & -PNJ. Tragically -PNI flew into a mountain in 1972 killing all 4 on board.
