Happy birthday Adam. :D

Thanks very much guys! I can confirm that there still is life on the "other side" - just! I think Paul's comments fit the bill best of all. I can't be boosting my 1/32 stash any more - I need to be thinking about time available to build what I've got before whatever goddamn ailment kicks in! I've just got to embrace some of that drive that Capt. Eric has and get building!! This is my 50th B/D resolution - BUILD MORE MODELS!!!

Now to bore you guys with some details on the "riddle wrapped in a paradox, or vice versa" life that is mine, I class myself not just as a aerosexual, but a aerospacesexual. It's my parents fault, as I was woken up from deep sleep when I was 5 to watch the launch of Apollo 11 on our little B/W TV. Since then, I've been pretty fascinated in anything aerospace related from that time - X-15, Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs in particular. My father came very close to moving the family to USA when NASA was heavily recruiting engineers back in the mid-60's to meet the "by the end of this decade" deadline for Apollo.

So, a little while ago, I shouted myself a Al Bean (4th man to walk o the moon) print representing Neil Armstrong on the moon. Those into this stuff may know that there is no proper photo of Neil on the moon. It was his job to take photos - one of which is that iconic shot of Buzz, with Neil's reflection on his visor). So, this is how Al imagines Neil looked when he took that amazing photo of Buzz. My wife got tired of seeing this print still in the packing tube and went and got it nicely framed for my B/D, so it will now have pride of place in our home.

Off on my Yak ride tomorrow (weather permitting) - full details to be posted by the weekend.
