Bench Check

Postby tor lives » Tue Apr 19, 2022 6:42 pm

Right you lot!!!!.....it's time to get some friggen interest and activity back into this site.
To that end, I have decided to resurrect and revive a popular old AMI feature.....that is, the semi regular Bench Check.
I'll get the ball rolling......currently on my modelling bench are two different 1:144 Boeing 707 projects, both being of Israeli flavour.
The first is my rendition of the Israeli Aircraft Industries (IAI) 707 Tanker/Transport Demonstrator aircraft. This aircraft was used by IAI to promote and demonstrate their capabilities in converting surplus civil airline passenger 707s into military Tanker/Transport platforms. She wore a somewhat anonymous and generic colour scheme, and carried the rather cool and typically secretive rego "XX-707".
The second 707 is an Israeli Air Force VIP aircraft in the attractive colours of the "Israel One" Head-of-State jet. Several different Israeli Air Force 707s undertook this role at different times. This aircraft will wear the short-lived "State of Israel" titles that were only briefly carried, but were very quickly dispensed with for security reasons.

Here's what's on my bench at the moment. There are a couple of other things that are not worth mentioning here yet.
