I've started the Roden 1/48 kit, but that looks like a dead project now. The Roden kit has massive trenches for panel lines, which I still had to work out how to subtly fill - oh well, at least I was not too far along with that project!

It will be a Raven bird eventually. Quite a fleet of "Vietnam" era aeroplanes I have planned now.

1/48 B-26K (A-26A) Counter Invader
1/32 OV-10A Bronco
1/32 T-28D "Raven" Trojan

I'm pretty tempted to get a 1/32 A-1J "Spad", but so happy with my 1/48 Tamiya effort, I just can't see me weakening - ah, time will tell! :D

I was thinking about this one too.. I recently bought the 1.32 T-6 but I don't want too many big uns choking up my cabinet.. I'll take the Roden one off your hands for a suitable consideration tho'

Only issue is I have done a lot of butchering on the inside of the fuselage to get the Aires cockpit in (almost finished that), so not sure if you want to take on board that. I bought all the shiny "bling" to go with this project (wheel wells, metal gear, new wheels, etc) as well. Lemme think about it as it may be better for you to start afresh as I know you're not a "cockpit" loving builder. There are some good weapons in this kit - some of which I could use on my A-1J or the B-26K. It's not a bad kit - just those "trenches" are bloody deep!

Which Trojan version do you want to build? It's a very intriguing aeroplane and the biggest ex-military aeroplane I've had the chance to fly - like a Mac truck with wings!

I'll do a review of this kit when it arrives. If you like the big ol' Trojan, it may be worth getting this 1/32 kit as opposed to struggling with the 1/48. Then again, you do have a reputation for taking on challenging builds!

Cheers

You can keep the bombs and ordinance type crap, I'll do a trainer civvie I have lots of Oshkosh T-28 pics to choose from..I have no idea of subtypes, don't care really.. so the airframe bits and pieces aftermarket I'd take as well if you don't want to be left with it.. can do you swappsies from my extensive stash.. any of these take your interest?:
1/48 Bonanzas, Debonairs, Trumpeter "Flagon", Roden Gladiator, Revell Sabres, ACC MIN Avenger.. plus others if none of take your fancy

OK Wally.

This sounds like a good plan as I've lost interest in my "little" Trojan and want my "big one" now (is this sounding like an ad for male protective latex based products? )

Lemme get my big 'un in and we'll talk - sound like a plan? I could possibly be interested in your Gladiator - could be a fun build and I love bip's. What else ya got in ya stash?

Cheers

Help you....... I think you should buy another one, you know you need more than one T-28 Adam. You know you want to. Let your Dark Passenger lead you astray.
I was thinking of buying one of these, but, my building rate for the last period for just over 2 years would be hard pressed struggling to pass one finished model.
Plenty of half built things in boxes scattered around here. Lots of enthusiasm, but bugger all get up and go.
Looks like a nice kit.
Cheers

You're sure right Wayne! I could built 3 or 4 T-28's no prob's. What's severely lacking is time. I've overwhelmed myself with too many projects. I need some of Capt Eric's focus and discipline to knuckle down and get building. Wife dropped the "painters" bomb on me last week. I had until end of Jan to get some room painting done. Well, that all went to hell in a handbasket with one trip to BlueScope Steel Port Kembla and a couple of big tenders to do. So, wife books the painters - AARRRGGHHH! Only issue is I had to sort out fixing rotten woodwork on two windows first. Thanks to building 1/32 resin kits and rotten Trumpeter offerings, I am a expert at bogging and sanding! :D

Anyhoo - when the T-28 kit arrives, I'll do a review and this may sway others one way or the other regarding getting this kit. It does look bloody good though!

Cheers
