Well, I am back after a week and almost 3400km round trip from Adelaide - Canberra - Sydney - Adelaide.
I carted 31 RAAF display models and 2 comp entries, on the return leg that grew by another 4 models which were stored at Pete M's (Mr Hawkeye) place when I moved over to Adelaide.
Here are a couple of albums with the images, there were about 10 civil models scattered around in 2-3 categories with 487 entries overall.
Competition Models
I managed a Highly Commended for my Finnish Hawk MK51 in the Kittyhawk Cup category (the theme kit was the 1/72 Airfix BAE Hawk - any boxing).
For the RAAF 100 display we managed to get a model of at least one of each aircraft type the RAAF has operated over the last 101 years (153 types), there were 328 models on the tables. This included a few wooden and resin desktop models

I also attended a small local comp here in Adelaide at the South Australian Aviation Museum organised by a sub-group of members from the local model club this weekend. I was surprised to find I won a couple of goings in this one.
Props, Jets, & Rotors
So hopefully I can get back to some 707, 737 and 757 goodness that have been waiting patiently on the shelf of doom.
