Nigerian 707

Postby tor lives » Sat Dec 22, 2018 5:26 pm

Hi folks,
Having a bit of a "thing" for Military/Government airliners, I was intrigued when I came across this photo of what appears to be a Nigerian Government 707.
Image
The aircraft seems to have been seconded from the Nigerian Airways fleet, with modified markings, (including the deletion of the word "Airways" off the fuselage, and the addition of the national crest just near the L1 door).
I would love to put this one on the "to do" list, but I can't seem to find any decal manufacturer who has produced Nigerian Airways 707 decals, (which I would need for the build). I have found sheets for Nigerian Airways 727s and DC-10s, but does anyone know if any producer has ever done a Nigerian Airways 707 sheet?.

It doesn't look like it's a current sheet though :

but hopefully that Aviation Megastore ad means they still have stock :

Having got the decals, all you need is the Coat of Arms - next to the door but also on the fin flash.

It has retained the civil rego.

Nice, I might have to invest in one of those. I have a couple of spare Minicraft E-3 kits I got cheap.
