Filling airliner windows easily

Ok peeps. with filling airliner windows, I've only ever put the kit windows in, filled and then sanded them. I've just done this on my current 737. Being a lazy prick, as anyone got any ideas of making this job any easier? I have seen resin used but I don't have any and and it's a bit of a pain. I was thinking of maybe using 2 part epoxy like 15min araldite though not sure how hard it would be to sand.

Araldyte's a bitch to sand. I'd glue a strip of plastic to the inside, and fill them with putty.

You can run some tape on the outside of the fuselage and dribble medium thickness superglue into the window openings (thin is too runny and does seep out onto the fuselage under the tape), be careful not to create bubbles.

Leave the glue to set overnight or 24 hours, remove the tape. If you do it right there will be no filling required once the tape is removed. If you don't then fill any pinholes from the outside.

This gives you a flush window line to start with and minimal filling and destruction of detail.

Hmmm interesting idea there Ray thanks. I can see how that would work. I wonder how fibre glass resin would go as it's reasonbly cheap to buy and I could pour it straight into the fuse after teping up the windows. I fear there in no quick and easy way to do this. I might just have to not be lazy when it comes to this task.

Best to trial on something unimportant first as some Resins (Polyester and Epoxy) may react with the adhesive on the tape and not "go off" properly.

I hadn't thought of that way. I normally use some Selly's KneadIt which I push from the inside out through the windows until it bulges out a little. If you wait a few minutes the stuff is just at the stage in setting where you can shave off the bits sticking out with your hobby knife with little or no filling required. But I'll try the other way to see what I think.
