You're home from Hospital, recovering from surgery on your leg and getting quite bored as sitting at the model bench is still frowned upon by the Doctors who want you to rest up more, as you still have over 100 staples holding your leg together. What do you do when you've watched everything on TV and spent way too much money on more model kits and aftermarket parts? Well if you're like me, you may get it into your head to sort out and catalogue the current stash, and list what aftermarket you have for each of them. So instead of relaxing on the couch, plowing through another season of Sea Patrol (I'm three seasons in, in just over a week) I decided to do just that.
First up was the 1/32 and 1/35 kits. This is them. There is still a 1/35 CH-47D in the post that should arrive today. Its a modest start, but already the $$$ there had me wondering if this was a good idea.
Then next up came the 1/72-1/48 Jets, Fighters and Bombers, as well as Real Space models.
Then 1/35 Armour and Artillery, 1/48 Helicopters, assorted scale Sci-fi and finally Navy ships.
If you don''t want to think about how much money you've spent on kits, don't sort out your stash, load them into a spreadsheet and count them up.
If you do want to know, do it.
On the plus side, I've found a few kits I forgot i had and have a better idea of whats ready to be built.
They're all put back away now.
Update: The CH-47D has landed.
What am I going to build next once I'm allowed back at the bench. It's been a month since the Shuttle now, and I still have no idea. It changes daily. Today it's either the 1/35 Blackhawk, or two 1/48 Meteors.
I know, no Airliners, but what am I going to do about that?
