As I recall, the MoB participated in an Expo in our early days when it was at the Show Grounds. It proved very impractical, however, to venture down to Melbourne every day for the duration of Expo, so we haven't done it of late and are not likely too. At some times members have entered on the competitions but that doesn't happen often. And since we are not a competition club this isn't very important to the club as a whole. A small group of us have traditionally made it down to Expo on Monday for the swap and sell and to have a look around the hall, but that's about the limitation of our involvement. Perhaps that is a reason why we put such an emphasis on our display day.

For those who may be wondering about the last photo, that is my partner I've gotten to know extremely well over the last 44 odd years who decided that hiding behind a picture and letter from our Club Patron, Bass guitarist and leading band vocalist Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead and Hawkwind fame, and who just happens to be an avid modeller and collector of Militaria, would be far more interesting than a photo of her, but I disagree.
