Model base ASAP

Postby hrtpaul » Thu Jan 28, 2016 5:16 pm

Righto peeps. EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to know where I'd get a base for Dad's 1/48 Sabre. I've just found out that Dad is coming down to Melbourne for a week this Monday and I need to get it finished before he goes back. I'll have the model done by Saturday night. It's just the base that I need. I'm mounting it the same as my Ansett 737 here (but a nicer base)

Oh and preferably cheap. Thanks guys :)

Want an Airfix stand or something similar?
Pretending to do it TAC style with the big boys since 1987
Also, we don't need no steenkin' VLATs!

Paul, try any of the trophy suppliers shops that may be around your way. Either that or a craft shop, sometimes Spotlight have something.
All that failing, try a lumber yard for some scrap and ask them if they can knock something up as it's a special occasion, some of these guys can be very helpful.

Cheers

Why don't you go to Bunnings or Masters and buy a seat foot or small piece of Mirboo if there's any in the scrap bin, stain it and mount it on that? They have various sizes and shapes of the seat feet. Alternatively, if you have an old trophy or can get one with a decent base, use that.
