I have been tinkering with this one for a few months doing a group build with my son.

I am using the Hamilton Hobbies conversion set and adding additional details from my subject matter expert to the Hasegawa kit.

It will be on a stand so I added some PJ Productions aircrew up front and updated the office a bit.

The fuselage was buttoned up



Some filling and priming, more filling required





And then on with the lumps, bumps, and antennas




It is almost ready for paint now.

Have been dabbling on and off on this one, the elder son has RDOs every fortnight or so and that is when we work on them together. He is my SME on this build






He is building his wheels down

Looks good with all those antennas and things on.

More sanding and filling and some paint applied, looks like it is close to decals now.




The Eduard props have been assembled as well

I woulda knocked at least 10 antennae off by now Great work so far man

Today the boy was over again and we pushed on with the P-3s. I base coat of grey went down and a slightly darkened version of it laid down on the walkway areas which were masked.


Masking off and antennas painted, the walkways are a tad dark


So I sprayed some base colour over the top to lighten them up, the Eduard quickboost props added in this shot as well
