i have finished my small memorial build to the much missed Greame H.
it's the quite old Revell/Takara P1Y1 Ginga allied code name Francis.
it's a kit that was released in the early 70's and to be honest it's a bloody good kit,not just for it's age but pretty good compared to modern kits as well(except for the wheels)
the decals are a mixture of spares box and kit decals as a lot of the decals were stuffed.

the paint is Alclad Duralaluminum underside with the new SMS IJNAF green on top Gunze INNAF grey on the control surfaces and SMS IJNAF green grey on the drop tanks and SMS IJNAF blue black on the cowls....overall i really enjoyed this build and the end result is very pleasing

That looks really great.

Graeme really liked the Revell Japan kits and had all of them at one stage but bailed a few in recent years. In the 80’s he would tell all and sundry how good they were and ahead of time with recessed detail etc.

He might have mentioned too that it’s “Ginga”.

Well done.
