Easter Blitz Builds

Postby RayS » Sun Apr 12, 2020 5:59 pm

The ACTSMS is running an Easter Blitz build, 4 days on Modelling Madness.

I have manged to finish these so far:

1/72 Testors Douglas Dauntless SDB, decals for a Battle of the Coral Sea aircraft

A very basic kit with about 20 parts.

Nice paint job on the Dauntless.
The Tomahawks are different, I suppose you didn't have an Airfix Bloodhound in stock :D

Thanks Graeme,

No on the Bloodhound, but I do have the very rare SAM 2 kit!

And the last build started is not complete, the Hobby Boss 1/72 P-51C built as a RAF Mustang MkIII

As they say in sport, a quick build is a good build - sometimes. I remember making that Testors SBD something in the late 1960s. It doesn't look to have improved any since then.

There is a 1:1 scale one of those in the Cairns Armour and Artillery museum if you ever need reference
