I wanted to build an early Spitfire to get into the RAF 100 spirit so I whipped up the old Hasegawa kit and painted it all with me trusty hairy sticks. I didn't make any modifications or anything. I just weathered it a wee bit and called it a day.

Good work, I didn't know Hasegawa did a two blade prop spit.

From memory it had both two and three blade props in the Kit.

That's some nice work there. Agreed that hairy stick used a lot on the 1:1 scale. I love photos of the much later Spitty's with hand painted invasion markings - just slapped on paint!

I'm currently refurbishing my very old Tamiya Spitty Mk.1 from 25+ years ago.

Thanks everyone!! Doing little 1/72 warbird single prop figthers makes for a nice, easy diversion from more complicated builds. I typically have one going most times of the year.

This is my first Spitfire, not counting the one I did back in the early 90's as a kid. Pretty cool. I think next I'd like to do a PR version with the all over PR blue and invasion stripes and yeah I've seen pictures of people painting those on by hand..... gotta love it!!! Makes going to extreme lentghts to make models PERFECT seem a little silly if you ask me! :)

You can't go past the Airfix PRXIX in Swedish markings :
