Mil MI-17 Helicopter, Iraqi armed forces
Posted: Sun Jul 01, 2018 10:01 pmThis is the Hobby Boss kit in 1/72. It's not a bad kit, but it does have issues. The surface has quite a few molding imperfections that need sanding, the colour call outs on the painting guide are not correct and the instructions tell you to put the tail rotor on the wrong way. Thankfully mine is correct as I found a picture. If you are building a Mi-8, the tail rotor is on the other side, I guess they didn't bother to retouch the instructions between the two models! I also didn't really like the decals and in retrospect I should have just painted the national flag and cut the stars out. Anyways, this is build #9 for me this year.
