it's another airfix P51D but being built as a CAC one so redroo seat going in...and redroo wheels to come....thanks Damo (cap n wannbe) for allowing me to do this....it could well end up alot of stangs to do the history of this plane

i've had a bit of personal stuff going on.....but getting back to it today

so a cold RDO ..so light a fire and do a little modeling

the interior of VH_FCB is done(though not converted to two seats) radios removed from the tank and painted in a close colour to CAC green.

i have done tape belts for it...they look ok
and now the fuselage is closed up and the wing assembled

I'm guessing the movie camera that sits behind the pilot won't make an appearance in this build...

nope....so many itirations of this aiframe from leaving the RAAF till destruction in 2011
