Very nice Paul, neat build and I like the different scheme as well. I also think the 244th Sentai is done to death.

Very nice indeed, and I'm with Wayne, don't want to do a 244th, looking for something in New Guinea

Yes very nice indeed but a little disappointed that it's actually 1:72 and not in that ever popular large scale of 1:27!

Graeme you can do the 68th Sentai, very striking camouflage with IJA green applied by palm fronds or rags on sticks over natural metal.
I have Hasegawa's 68th Sentai 1/32 version to do. There are decals I'm fairly sure at HLJ depicting many other units and all in the major scales.

I may have to re-post my 1/32 Ki-61 in the special unit markings and looking totally weather worn.

Wayne.

PS Sorry Paul if I've hijacked your post.

Paul, I can recall reading many years ago that the 68th had a mixed bag of Ki-61's, especially as they were ground down by intensive fighting and accepting spares from other Sentais which ceased to exist.
I could be wrong, I usually am but do you think 99% of onlookers would pick the different nose? I'm just happy these days to actually finish something and stop getting a debilitating disease like AMS.

Cheers, Wayne.

Hi Wayne
i think most if not all PNG KI61's were either KI61-1 OTSU's or KOH's i could be wrong but i'm not sure any TEI's made it down to PNG...i do plan on doing a 68th sentai one using a finemolds one when i can get one.

the KI61 addiction id pairing nicely to my P40 one......i now have 3 scales of them in my stash....just need a short nose one or two.
