Yet another model I'm currently doing is the 1/72 Hobbyboss A5M. It's 1 of their easy assemble kits and it's the second of these kits I've built and I really like them. The reason I'm doing this target is all Paul's (oz rb fan) fault. After talking to him bout it I went and ordered it from BNA. The detail in the pit isn't mind blowing but with some seat belts it comes ok. The rest of the kit is pretty nicely done. OOB apart from belts, it's an easy build. I had 90% of the construction done within a couple of hours with only a little Mr Surfacer 500 used and no putty. It's currently gloss black at the moment and I'll give it another coat of Alclad gloss black tomorrow then hit it with some shade of Alclad still to be determined. This should be finished by Wednesday or Thursday I reckon :)

This is almost done. Just the windscreen and decals to go. Was gonna have it finished tomorrow but I'm off to Hervey Bay to see my Dad. Here's a couple of pics :)

I'm calling this done. Great little kit of an unusual plane. I have since painted the windscreen frame after I took these pics :)

Very nice work!

Who was it who moulded this years ago? Nichimo? Wonder how it compares to this kit?

Edit to answer my own Kwestion - Yes Nichimo but it was an A5M4.

this is a much easier to build kit that the nichimo one(but it builds ok and looks a treat once done)...i posted one on here about 3 years ago.
