1/72 Blue Angels F6F-5 Hellcat
This is the start of my Blue Angels theme. Yes I know yet another modelling theme from me. This shit is getting expensive
Anyways I started an early Hasegawa Hellcat kit today. I found that it had already had some painting carried out so it went together pretty quickly. Theres not much to see in the cockpit and as it's an older kit it has raised panel lines. I got the fuse together today as well as the wings and tail fitted. I've picked a Tamiya colour that should be pretty close to the gloss Sea Blue required. I hope to have it in primer by COB tomorrow. I reckon I'll have this finished be about Wednesday next week. After this theres an F8F, F9F-3, F9F-8, F-11F, F-4J, A-4F, 2 x TA-4J's (1 x blue, 1 x white) and a single and dual seat F/A-18 to do, all in 1/72. The single seat Hornet will be a tribute to Capt Jeff "Kooch" Kuss who was opposing solo #6 and died recently whilst flying Blue Angel #6. This is where the Hellcat is up to
