BoB Hurricane

Postby hrtpaul » Mon Aug 15, 2016 9:11 pm

Finished this tonight. It's the 1/72 Hasegawa Hurricane Mk1 from Graeme's Model Emporium. It's done as Flt Lt J Nicolson's aircraft that he won a VC during the Battle of Britain. This is the 1st part of a 2 part project. The second part will be the Typhoon FGR.4 painted in BoB colours representing this Hurricane. It's an older tooling but went together fairly well. I added the usual seatbelts and Aviaeology decals. Ok on to the pics :)

Very nice. There is something about a Mk1 Hurricane.

Could he remember when and where he bought it? (followed by multiple Demonic laughing Whatcamacallits)

Which kit are you going to use for that?

Nearly fell off my (rocking) chair when I read that as it sounded like you were taking the pi$$ but then I looked it up on Scalemates and Good Grief Charlie Brown it came out in 1995! Seems like it only came out a couple of years ago!

Nice one Paul, I had planned to do the Typhoon as well but did not know where to find the corresponding Hurricane decals from.

A330 I never ask Graeme about such things. I don't want to cause flashbacks     As for the Typhoon, I'll be using this kit with Caracal decals :)
