The Pink Mirage, for Ray...
Posted: Sat Jul 16, 2016 5:59 pmThis is the old Academy 1/50 kit that I bought from Bill Wong at least 2 shops ago. I was going to convert it to a Mirage V, but the Kinetic kit came out and this one just sat there until I pulled it out for Wings a year ago. It's straight from the box, with the silly colour scheme, but it was real. Apparently it was a bit of a joke between squadrons and was roughly painted overnight. It did fly in the pink paint, but they had to scrape it off the nose otherwise it would have splattered all over the windscreen.
