N14-086 Macchi 326H 'Admiral's Barge'
This was a little bit of a challenge from one of the guys I work with. He likes looking at my builds but wants to know what the shortest timeframe is for building a kit. Telling him it could be between two weeks and a couple of months dependant on the build. So, his deal was for me to build a 1/48 kit of my liking but it had to include aftermarket products but it wasn't allowed to be in RAAF markings. My response was the following which I started last week Monday;
Serial: N14-086 (862)
Type; CA-15 Aeromacchi (Macchi 326H)
Based; 724 Squadron, RAN NAS Nowra, NSW (circa mid 80s)
History; Colloquially known by RAN members as the Admiral's Barge, this particular Macchi was the only one to adorn the naval Albatross on the tail. From enquiries there was two different schemes, one with white leading edges the other with no de-icing strips.
Kit: 1/48 Italeri/Esci Macchi 326H with Ozmods resin interior, Wolf Pack seats, OzMods flaps, tanks and front U/C leg. Decals from Roo Decal, Hawkeye, Kit and scrap box.
References: ADF Serials, decal instruction sheet.

I hope you like it as it's a very smart looking scheme.
