This is my 1/48 scale model of a very eye-catching Tornado from the 'Flying Monsters' (322) squadron of the German Air Force. The exotic and complex paint scheme represents 322sqn's 30th Anniversary in 2006.
The kit is by Italeri while the very complex paint scheme is hand-painted directly onto the model, apart from the eye which is hand painted onto white decal sheet, and the flying monsters web address on the fin which is printed onto clear decal and then positioned.

Nice work Stevie, I am afraid I would not have the patience to hand paint anything like that.

How long did the painting take?

Thanks RayS; the painting took flippin' ages! It's not one I'd like to do again, but it won't stop me from doing other intricate paint schemes when the mood takes me.
