The breaking the ice post so to speak. Fianlly registered after getting keen to make aircraft again for a bit. My Red Airforce C-47. Made last year from the Italeri Spooky with aftermarket decals.
Operated by a special purpose group from Bari, Italy 1945. The nose art was a gift from USAAF personnel to the Russian pilot.

Hey there!

Great to see you here and lovely Dak you have there! How did you find the Italeri kit? I wonder how it compares to the current Airfix C-47? I purchased the Airfix offering recently and it does look nice. The panel lines are very heavy though, which is an issue I think with the Airfix kit.

Cheers

Adam

Thank you. I didn't find it too bad, kept cracking fuselage seem on the nose though. Have not seen the Airfix one yet.

Another nice one Geoff,

Adam, the Italeri kit also suffers from deep panel lines as well. I bit of primer helps to reduce the impact of them.

Here is a shot of my Italeri DC3 (reboxed by Revel in this case), 5th and 6th shots down in this thread
