Just finished about an hour ago. This is the RAAF's biggest bomber ever used......the B29 Washington.....in the smallest possible scale 1/144. Although not officially marked in an Australian serials it was allocated as A76 in the second series of RAAF aircraft. Two were loaned from 88 received by the RAF as trials aircraft with ARDU at Woomera between 1952-56 before they were scrapped. This aircraft represents WW-353 (A76-1), the other was WW-354 (A76-2). This is the Crown 1/144 kit modified with the removal of upper and lower turrets.

Very nice Andrew, Why not a 1/72 build? ( I probably know why actually :D)

Have you got one lined up for yourself?

Man you are smokin' along this year Andrew! Interesting subject - didn't know the RAAF operated B-29s at all. Great work.

Good stuff Andrew!!!. As said elsewhere.....ya gotta love a big, bad-arse Boeing. Didn't Minicraft actually issue this kit, in this scale, with these RAAF markings???

I actually have a 1/72 one myself Ray.....which I will re-do one day and remove the turrets from as when I built it I didn't know the turrets were removed until after it was finished.

I think re-issued this kit but I don't know about the decals. Would've been nice to have the correct wheels which were spokes (nose)
