Just finished this morning to assist in clearing the bench. I started this Kiowa whilst doing the Navy one for a bloke in Canberra as I figured they're relatively easy builds. This one which is also a 1/48 Italeri kit didn't fit together as well as the other one and didn't have a rear seat option so I went the mini-gun for a little artistic licence. It is painted to represent http://www.adf-gallery.com.au/gallery/K ... A_3A17_047 however, I just realised I forgot the nose numbers and those above the main doors......an easy fix. This scheme was trialled by the Army in the early eighties before the camo scheme was finally chosen. Besides the underside blade antenna and whip aerial under the tail boom this was built OOB with homemade decals.

Beautiful job....I always thought that the Kiowa was a very pretty chopper.
I love the mini-gun fit....it just somehow looks right on this build.
Another nice one Andrew :D .
