A couple of Luftwaffe rockets

Hi guys,

Yesterday and the day before were days off for me which gave me the opportunity to get out into the shed and actually finish another couple of kits. One of them (the Tamiya 1/48 V1) I bought at Expo this year for about $5 as just something to kick the mojo off again after Expo and the other (1/32 Meng Me-163 Komet) I bought for a mate from Expo last year (2014) and it had been languishing on the shelf of doom for a while so decided to knock them over and get them done and out of the way. The V1 came with a 1/48 MPM? Fi-103 (manned V1) in the box as an extra which I will look at one day. Both are built straight from the box and were fun to build. The Meng kit has absolutely fantastic detail but I had some issues fitting the engine and keeping it where it should be which ultimately affected the fitting of the port wing and the engine covers. I found these engine parts very finicky and if I had my time again would omit them and just join the two fuselage parts together. The instructions say that the tail should just slide on and off but because of the engine issues this isn't to be. I hope you like them.

Fab to see these! What happened with the posts??????????

I've the Meng kit to build one day - some time well after the 262 I'm building. Looks a great kit. Any snags or issues to watch for? I've read the wing/fuselage interface is a bit of a pain - was it a bother for you?

Great work mate!

Cheers

Adam

Agreed, it's like an explosion at a rocket factory of posts. :)

Great work as usual Andrew.

Good grief Andrew. What happened here? Trying out the new multi post feature?

Another couple of beauties from our favourite policeman. Very nicely done indeed.
We are not sure what created the multiple posts but, with Andrew's permission, I have deleted the duplicated posts.

Cheers guys. Don't know why the multiple posts but I have been having issues posting to the site.

Adam, I had real issues trying to get the port wing in, and I think it has something to do with the engine as I struggled to keep this straight and attached to the fire wall.
