A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

This has been ticking along slowly but I got a bit of colour on it today. Didn't have the right shade of brown so I made one that looks close enough for me :)

After smashing some One Go onto Dad's Sabre I thought I'd progress this a bit. After 2 1/2hrs masking last night this is where it's up to. The original brown looked too way dark to me say I oversprayed it with fairly thin Tamiya X-9 brown to lighten it up. Looks ok to me now. I'll spray the green today and then rip all those hours of masking off to see what it turned out like. Onto the pics :)

Nice stuff Paul, do you use 'fresh' blutak for you 'masking'? Or does it come form a reused blob?

Hi Ray. I use fresh Blutak everytime because when I peel it off it's normally stuck to the Tamiya tape. I should stop being lazy and collect the used stuff though really it's not that expensive :) I got the green on today and all the masking off as well. The colours on top aren't as nice as I'd like them to be but they'll do. I'll let it dry for a couple of days and then may it'll be time for some One Go :)
