1/144 MiG21

A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

You're lucky Les that some unsuspecting modeller didn't accidently park his larger model right on top!

It certainly was "big" enough to be an underwing store for others in the category.. ;)

Have a look towards the end of this album for the build
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 152c639235

This was two F5Es, A Hasegawa and a (Hasegawa knock-off) Kangnam, sliced at strategic points in the fuselage and utilising a Revell 1/32 F14 canopy suitably cut up.

I chose to do the Mexican scheme as these were the decals in one of the boxes when I acquired them from the estate of the late Eric Sujecki, and I figure he'd approve of a twin seater being cobbled together out of his kits. Of course, the decal sheet had all the numbers and stuff for the twin seater, but not the tail art - so I hand painted that.

Thanks for that mate. It looks amazing. I guess I'll just wait for someone to release a kit. Cheers :)
