Lindberg 1/48 Polish SE5a

A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

Lindberg 1/48 Polish SE5a

This is the very old Lindberg kit that I had in the stash for many years, but pulled it out for a Group Build earlier in the year. It's very basic, but fairly nice fitting. I replaced the Lewis gun with one from the spares box which was of much better detail and I used some aftermarket instruments to give the feel of a cockpit. Rigging was done with some knitting elastic. This aircraft is representative of the small amount (between 4 and maybe 20) aircraft that made their way to Poland in 1919 to fight against the Russians in the Polish War of Independence.

Looks good Brad, I won't attempt any WWI builds due to the rigging. Nice job on yours
